It's been over 8 months since my last retreat! I'm itching to cook for my guests. My June retreat is at the tail end of spring, with hints of the summer sun and produce. I usually try to get the bbq going, and pray that strawberries and corn are ready say to hello to Ontario.
In a couple days I'm off to Cobblestone Farm Retreat to visit Sam and catch up on all the new things she's done to the farmhouse. Sam recently left her high-intensity Toronto job and refocussed her passion on her farm. I'm so thankful to have developed such a great friendship; we're going to chat the night away and then I'll cook her breakfast with some freshly gathered eggs (that's right! She has chickens now!) in her beautiful, new kitchen.
I love cooking for people. Our group is small this June, which means an easier meal prep and more time for myself to work on some creative projects.
I can't wait.
