It's for this exact reason that I started hosting Purple Workbench retreats: to dedicate time for all those love-projects that never get enough attention. A short weekend away can be a glorious surge of inspiration and motivation for neglected creative pastimes.
The retreat gang this past September was top notch. It was a small group, which meant that even I had time to do some sewing and visit the horses! The weekend was filled with macrame, quilting, dresses, shirts, journalling, pies, cheese, waffles, risotto, popcorn and sunshine. We stayed up late. We ate in the middle of the field. We discovered the best ginger lemongrass tea, ever.
Last week, I finally finished a new page on my site to give readers a tour of the farmhouse. It's an amazing piece of property and I'm so pleased to continue hosting my retreats here every season.
I'm also finalizing my ideas for the winter retreat menu, and I'm hoping to get dates up for the spring weekend! Half the spots are taken for February, so head over to the signup page and reserve a spot!
Thank you so much to everyone for joining me on these retreats and for all the encouraging words! I know life is busy and it still feels so great to know that you're interested, even when the timing doesn't quite work out yet. I love hosting these small group retreats, and I'm confident we will have a weekend together one day!
